Penn State Beats Purdue for First Big Ten Win
Penn State snapped a four-game losing streak in Big Ten play, beating Purdue 31-17 at Beaver Stadium for its first conference win. The Nittany Lions rushed for 269 yards and three touchdowns despite missing their top two wide receivers; Cam Wallace led with a career-high 135 yards and a score. Penn State controlled possession for more than 43 minutes and outgained Purdue 457-175, while its defense limited the Boilermakers to one offensive touchdown and made a key third-quarter interception. Purdue briefly tied the game with a blocked-punt return for a touchdown, but struggled to sustain drives and establish the run.
