Michigan flips Toledo recruit, ends pledge drought

Michigan flipped three-star Florida wide receiver Yuto Kawamura-Johnson from Toledo, adding the 2027 recruit after hosting him during the Wolverines’ win over Penn State and extending an offer. He had been committed to Toledo since June, but Michigan’s staff moved quickly following the visit, with Kawamura-Johnson citing the opportunity to develop and compete at a high level. The 5-foot-11 receiver has recorded 24 catches for 575 yards and seven touchdowns this season, and becomes the 22nd commitment in Michigan’s 2027 class.
