No. 25 USC beat No. 2 Ohio State 30-18 on Oct. 31, 2026, at the Los Angeles Coliseum. USC scored on the second play when Jayden Maiava hit Trent Mosley for 69 yards and led the rest of the way, 14-3 after one quarter and 20-9 at half. Isaiah West fumbled a swing pass near the USC 31 during a long Buckeyes drive; two plays later a 70-yard USC pass set up the short touchdown that, with King Miller's 1-yard run, made it 27-9 in the third. Jeremiah Smith caught a 1-yard touchdown with 2:12 left to reach 27-18. Freshman Luke Fahey, making his first start in place of Julian Sayin, finished 21-of-38 for 260 yards and that late score after entering the game with 203 combined passing yards on the season. Smith ended with 10 catches for 83 yards and the Big Ten career receiving-touchdowns record. Bo Jackson ran for 121 yards on 21 carries. Ohio State stood at 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the Big Ten after the result.
