NDSU Reaches Bowl Eligibility in First FBS Season
North Dakota State rallied from an 11-0 deficit to beat Nevada 31-17, improving to 6-1 in its first FBS season and becoming bowl-eligible for the first time. The Bison’s comeback featured Jackson Williams’ touchdown return of a missed field goal just before halftime and a defensive two-point return, while their offense struggled at times and committed 11 penalties for 99 yards. UNLV’s loss to Air Force kept NDSU in contention for the Mountain West title, and the Bison have already beaten both Air Force and Wyoming. Their next game at New Mexico could be pivotal in the conference race; a strong finish could put NDSU in the Mountain West championship game and potentially give it a chance to host.
