Texas Tech Reportedly Plans Castellanos-Hammond QB Rotation

Texas Tech is expected to expand Thomas Castellanos’ role against Arizona after its first loss of the season and Will Hammond’s struggles, with reports varying on whether Castellanos will start or share significant snaps with Hammond. Coach Joey McGuire called it a mistake not to use Castellanos more in the loss to Cincinnati, and the staff has highlighted his effectiveness in red-zone and quarterback-run situations. Castellanos has recorded four total touchdowns in limited action this season and is eligible after a court injunction restored his ability to play.
