Minnesota Beats Iowa to Reclaim Floyd of Rosedale

Minnesota beat Iowa 13-10 to reclaim Floyd of Rosedale, earning its first home win in the rivalry since 2014. The Gophers’ offense struggled, but their defense and special teams disrupted Iowa and forced five turnovers. After Iowa tied the score with a 98-yard touchdown drive late, Drake Lindsey connected with Jalen Smith for a 39-yard gain to set up Luke Drzewiecki’s game-winning 46-yard field goal as time expired. The victory was a response to Minnesota’s recent blowout loss to Purdue and a long-awaited rivalry breakthrough for coach P.J. Fleck.
