Ohio State Weighs QB Options Against USC
No. 2 Ohio State visits USC on Saturday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for their first game as Big Ten rivals, and the Buckeyes will play their first full game without injured quarterback Julian Sayin. Coach Ryan Day has not named a starter, saying Luke Fahey and Tavien St. Clair have practiced well and leaving open the possibility of using both. Fahey has limited game experience, adding uncertainty to Ohio State’s offense. USC is 6-2 and lost 24-7 at Wisconsin, a defeat that dropped the Trojans from the AP Top 25. Ohio State is favored, but USC’s home setting and quarterback Jayden Maiava’s stronger home performance could make the matchup competitive.
