Coby White Set to Debut for Hornets After Calf Injury
Charlotte Hornets guard Coby White is set to make his season debut Monday against the Detroit Pistons after missing the first seven games with a calf injury. Acquired from Chicago last season, White averaged 15.6 points in 21 games for Charlotte and is expected to start; his scoring and ability to attack the basket could help an offense that has struggled and ranks last in the league in offensive rating. The Hornets are on a three-game losing streak and will face a 5-1 Detroit team. Rookie Kon Knueppel and Grant Williams are unavailable for the game, while White may be on a minutes restriction.
