Doncic banks half-court buzzer-beater in Lakers rout of Warriors

The Lakers routed the depleted Warriors 127-105 in the season opener after a competitive start, pulling away with a 17-4 run before halftime and extending the lead until the game was out of reach. Luka Doncic led Los Angeles with 28 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, punctuating the first-half run with a half-court buzzer-beater after trading trash talk with Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg, who finished with 12 points in his NBA debut. Walker Kessler was perfect from the field and added nine rebounds as the Lakers overwhelmed Golden State inside. Stephen Curry scored 23 points in limited minutes, but the Warriors’ offense and defense faltered as the margin grew.
