Pelicans Hand Undefeated Grizzlies First Loss

New Orleans handed previously undefeated Memphis its first loss, winning 135-134 in overtime as Zion Williamson scored the Pelicans’ first nine points of the extra period and finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Karlo Matkovic also scored 25, while Ty Jerome had 40 for Memphis. The win was New Orleans’ third straight, following its 121-99 victory over Atlanta on Saturday, when Saddiq Bey scored 25 points and rookie Jeremiah Fears added 20. Atlanta later beat Indiana 108-104, with Nickeil Alexander-Walker scoring 34 points and Onyeka Okongwu hitting the late go-ahead jumper; the injury- and rest-depleted Pacers had only six players available and lost their fifth straight.
