Raptors Rout Bulls 135-92 in Season Opener
Toronto opened the 2026–27 NBA season with a 135-92 rout of Chicago, never trailing as Kawhi Leonard scored 23 points in his return to the Raptors, matched by Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley. Chicago committed 27 turnovers and shot 4-for-36 from three-point range in a record-setting opening-night defeat for the franchise; rookie Caleb Wilson had nine turnovers. Leonard, still working toward full fitness, asked to play extra minutes for more repetitions despite shooting 5-for-17. In Toronto’s 112-102 win over Washington on Friday, Leonard scored 16 points with eight rebounds and three steals, ending his 58-game streak of scoring at least 20 points.
