Unbeaten Pistons Beat Heat as Duren, Thompson Exit Injured

The unbeaten Detroit Pistons beat the Miami Heat 128-111 on Friday despite injuries to Jalen Duren and Ausar Thompson. Duren was diagnosed with a right hamstring strain and ruled out for Sunday’s game against Philadelphia; Thompson left after a fall, but no diagnosis or return update was reported. Paul Reed had 19 points and 11 rebounds and was expected to start in Duren’s place, while John Collins led Detroit with 23 points as the Pistons made 18 three-pointers. Coach J.B. Bickerstaff praised the team’s ability to adapt and find open players.
