Jokic Calls Booing Fans Unwelcome After Nuggets Rally

Nikola Jokić told fans who booed the Denver Nuggets during their home opener that they were not welcome back, saying supporters should stand by the team because it does not give up. Denver rallied from a 23-point deficit to beat the New Orleans Pelicans 141-135 in overtime. Jokić recorded 35 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists, while Jamal Murray led Denver with 42 points. Coach David Adelman called the team’s first-half effort dismal, and Aaron Gordon said Denver could not expect to overcome such slow starts against stronger opponents.
