Anthony Edwards to Miss Up to Two Months After Knee Surgery

Court filings cited in a report said Anthony Edwards feared his ex, Alexandria Desroches, would spend child-support payments on online sports betting; Desroches reportedly testified that she used DraftKings dozens of times a month in 2025 while arguing that his support payments were insufficient. Edwards was later upgraded to available for Minnesota’s game against Cleveland after being listed as questionable for right-knee maintenance, but reports now say he will undergo arthroscopic surgery on that knee and is expected to miss up to two months. He averaged 33.3 points during Minnesota’s 3-1 start and scored 47 in an overtime loss to Cleveland. His absence leaves the Timberwolves without their leading scorer and playmaker, with teammates including LaMelo Ball, Ayo Dosunmu, Jaden McDaniels and Jonathan Kuminga expected to take on larger roles.
