Hornets' Knueppel Could Debut This Week
Charlotte Hornets guard Kon Knueppel is nearing his season debut after missing the opening games with a left hamstring strain, though he was ruled out against Detroit and remains week-to-week. Coach Charles Lee said Knueppel’s return is “right around the corner,” following his return to on-court work and practice with the team’s G League affiliate. His return could help a struggling Charlotte offense, which has ranked near the bottom of the league early in the season; Coby White’s return also gives the team another boost. Knueppel is coming off a standout rookie season in which he averaged 18.5 points per game and led the NBA in made 3-pointers.
