Wizards Hold Off Bulls Rally, Win 124-120
The Washington Wizards beat the Chicago Bulls 124-120 on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, at the United Center. Washington trailed 62-57 at halftime, then outscored Chicago 40-20 in the third to lead 97-82 after three and by as many as 21. Trae Young had 25 points and nine assists, Kyshawn George 22 points and nine rebounds, and Anthony Davis 19 points. Bulls rookie Caleb Wilson posted his first career double-double with 30 points and 14 rebounds, scoring 17 in the first half with five dunks. Matas Buzelis scored 21 for Chicago. The Bulls made a 19-6 run over the final four minutes to cut 112-96 to 118-115 with 23.3 seconds left. Davis and Young then went a combined 6-for-6 from the free-throw line to close it out. Washington was without No. 1 pick AJ Dybantsa (sprained ankle). Left-rated coverage centered on Splitter's playing-time standards and on Wizards role grades. Splitter said competing every possession is not there yet, that pressure and sitting help players learn, that Buzelis talk was overblown, and that Wilson must improve running back. Sports Illustrated cast George and Champagnie positively and flagged Davis and late execution.
