Daniels’ Seven Steals Fuel Hawks’ Record 47-Point Win
Atlanta routed Charlotte 128-81 on Friday, setting a franchise record for largest margin of victory and improving to 2-0. Dyson Daniels helped ignite the blowout with relentless rebounding early and seven steals, disrupting the Hornets’ offense and setting a defensive tone his teammates followed. He also contributed 11 points, nine rebounds and four assists, while Jalen Johnson and Aaron Wiggins led Atlanta with 19 points apiece. Charlotte was without LaMelo Ball, and its shaky ballhandling contributed to the turnovers; Daniels, meanwhile, is still working to improve his outside shooting. Jock Landale added eight points, six rebounds and four assists while wearing a protective mask.
